Technical help Empty Technical help

Okay, got a weird one here.

Installed a new HDD yesterday its nothing exotic, just a stock SATA Toshiba. Anywho my Sony restore program errors out when I try and restore the system. Okay no problem I attempted to install from XP and Vista disks, the setup utility won't even recognize the disk. Even a low level format would not help and an old bootable partion magic disk says the disk is fine and even formated it (NTFS) but still no joy. All diagnosis come back okay.

Okay time for a new disk... but wait.. there is more it formated fine under xt3. I'm writing this from Mint Linux on the machine in question. But Windows setup still won't see the disk.

Okay fine I think, I will run winplan under Wine. But no joy Wine apparently runs everything I have ever owned except VGAP.

Any ideas about the windoes setup or on running winplan under wine?

Technical help Empty windows?

Post  the elder one Tue Aug 11, 2009 6:54 am

well, once there was a little boy. Asked what he wonna be when grown up, he replied: "oh I wanna be a great writer!" "What do ya mean with 'great'?" "Someone who writes things read by everyone in the world. And the people should get really emotioned with that! While reading they ought to cry, to bibber and to weep calmly."

Today he's working for microsoft and is developping the error messages.
