Nelder Grove is a sequoia grove not far from Oakhurst. The grove is a bit over 10 miles from Oakhurst. It is free to see the grove. If you enjoy listening to the sounds of nature and not being surrounded by lots of people, you may want to check it out. There is an interpretive center in the campground area, as well as many large sequoia stumps leaving evidence of Mill #4 that was located within the grove. There are many hiking/walking trails in the area, creeks, wonderful campground hosts (Reid and Adele). I am a volunteer for the Forest Service and work as an interpreter and historian. If you have any questions or would like me to give a tour to a group of people (free) please let me know. flower
