Host Time schedule
I can change days, but I have no control that I have thus far found to change the time host will run. For example, my game page shows: 3:00:00 PM (GMT -8h) for this game. I "think" that this is calculated for my time zone, but as time zone challenged as I am, I wouldn't put money on it.
My other PS game right now shows: 10:00:00 PM (GMT -8h) and it does seem to run at some point around that time. But, there is a certain delay before I see a new turn show up.
I tell you all of this because I am not insensitive to how different times may be more or less helpful depending on the zone in which you live.

Might need some help here!
I deleted some posts where I rambled on a bit about host times. But, now I don't think it's that big an issue.

More on time
One thing you will notice. The host time on the web site and the one in your email are likely to disagree. The explanation is:
Assuming you registered and gave your location, your email will always tell you the hosting time for your local time zone in your personal mails. The game announcement on the web site however is the same for everyone and cannot be personalized in this way.

OK, So now I just received my turn on Thurs @ 3:11.
The Host site now shows: Friday, May 01, 2009 3:00:00 PM (GMT -8h) .
My email says, Next host is on Fri, May 01 2009 at 23 Greenwich Mean Time
I will assume that means about this time tomorrow. But, I could be wrong.

Re: Host Time schedule
Yes, But by the time you add 3 hours there and deduct 8 hours here are we still on the same day? Or the day before or the day after?
For this game it seems like the same day and time as shown. But, in my other game, it seems like it is a day late. Probably a dollar short too, but that's another issue. This is one thing RC World does better when it just shows X number of hours until host is run. Then I don't have to add PST hours and divide by GMT hours and then flip a coin on what day it is.

Except at night, during the day or whenever nitrogen is present. We should also plan for the contingency that hydrogen dioxide will become involved at tea time and/ or during coffee breaks. The possibility of the sun rising in the east can also not be entirely discounted.
I guess I’ll stuff all the dry-erase markers down my pants …
AND SING…………………..
I am the monarch of the sea,
The ruler of the Queen's Navee,
Whose praise Great Britain loudly chants.
When at anchor here I ride,
My bosom swells with pride,
And I snap my fingers at a foeman's taunts;
But when the breezes blow,
I generally go below,
And seek the seclusion that a cabin grants;

Maybe I show see what's happening here where I live. The barn could be burning or something

Re: Host Time schedule
I think the brain is sizzling at least.
Since I didn't have a turn to do today I went out in the rain and bought a canoe. As soon as it stops raining I think my dog and I will go canoeing. He isn't much at paddling, but he's real good at watching out for stuff.
Oh, and he's good at providing ballast and soaking up fighter attacks. OOPS, there I go mixing up RL and Planets again.

Two Minute Turn
Well, I mulled it over and made long term plans, entered my orders and made my turn, and then uploaded, all in about 2 minutes. Now we wait for Baer to get back from DC.
Lucky for me I have another game going here at PS and I'm due for another turn in that game tomorrow. I ran out of active games back at RC World and would be in withdrawal by now if I hadn't made the jump.
I know Ricki is busy and he doesn't make nearly enough to pay him for what he has created at RC World. I just wish he could get some help. Maybe something like the team hosting concept they use at PS. Otherwise players anxious for a new game will keep drifting away.

Re: Host Time schedule
Went canoeing with my dog this morning. Turns out he has another skill. He made the canoe into a cloaker. It's a lot harder to spot when it's full of water. Of course, we were both taking a rather wet "space walk" about that time. And my communication gear (cell phone) is now out of commission in spite of being protected (zip lock bag) against the hazards of outer space.
I had a long talk with him about balance issues afterward.
