Host shedule
Hey, I just got an RST, and it is not at all 23.00 GMT...
I don't agree, if there is during days a discussion about host schedules
and at the end I don't now when it happens I can't accept.

Correct time?
I received my RST at 3:11 my time, which I am informed is 23 GMT. This is part of the original schedule we discussed when the game opened. As I explained then, I have no control over times, only days.
There were enough no votes that we will not be running host this weekend, but we do have another host run tomorrow. Then, as originally planned, M-T-W-T-F of next week. Following that, we will drop back to M-W-F, as I also explained in another thread.
Is this a problem for anyone? I'll check for responses when I come back from Star Trek tonight.

Fast schedule for a week.
I hope everyone it ready for 5 days of hosting this next week!
I figure after 5 turns, we should be enough into the game that we will be ready to drop back to M-W-F turns.

I'd like to shoot whoever/whatever picked my starting position! Nothing close and when I get there, it's baren or full of Amorphs. I knew I should have picked Fascists.

sigh
OH yes, life is wonderful as the facists.
No minerals, the natives all stink and I got two other players right on top of me.
I think I'm just going to pop!

"Well let me tell you a story about a man named Mule,
a poor Fed player who barely kept his ships in fuel,
then one day he was shooting at some planet,
when up into space came a bubblin' granite.
Granite? Damn it, Janet!
Don't need no stinking granite!
I need Neutronium, Duranium,
Molybdenum, Tritanium,
THAT"S what I need!

Yippee, I found fuel. Now if I only had some prospects of building some ships to use it.

Rich and Easy
In the game setup, they don't call it rich, they call it easy. But, this is explained as a galaxy with more resources. This is what I picked. REALLY!
Maybe it is all concentrated in one area. My suspicion is that Starbuck is hoarding all the extra resources. I have no proof, just suspensions. He always has been a suspicious fellow, after all!

He's mad, you know.
Looks like Pet found 1 fuel planet. He must be going thru withdrawls from not being able to scoop his fuel.
To that, I say HA-HA! (pointing!)

Re: Host shedule
Somebody has minerals, look at all those SB's popping up. Personally I think the rich bastard "haves" are just showing off to the detriment of us poor oppressed "have nots". Some good ol' Borg socialist redistribution is needed around here! Now if I can just pull off the collection with my fleet of probes.

Rich ''n poor
Hmh, ... to have or to have not.
Seems you guys are not specialised in dealing with poor circumstances. Why not call the Gorn people and let them do the job?
You might withdraw and read a good book (e.g. "how to rule the universe" or "learning government by doing"), don't you?

I do have some summer reading to do. I went to the library and picked up a few titles...
"Hisssssssss!!!! or Why Johnny Can't Blink"
"Under My Thumb: A Borg Love Story"
"Avarice and Greed; Planetary Economics and You"

Hostschedule slow down?
Salut,
beside any "self-aktualization" (means that "exploding myself"?)...
What do ya think about slowing down the hosting to two times the week? I guess there're some wars arising at the respectively horizons. And it may take more time to answer at all the challenges...

Schedule Changes
I rather expected to slow down at some point. Now would be OK with me.
Rather than do a whole poll, maybe I should just ask if anyone would oppose a 2x schedule at this point?

Re: Host shedule
What? Two times a week? I was hoping we would go back to 5 times a week.
I mean, I don't have 60-some planets and more starbases than god, so speeding up would be a boon for me.
But, alas, if everyone else wants to hit 2 times a week, then its fine by me.

Re: Host shedule
Thanx for understanding...
(Hum, you're right - it's a lot of work, letting some bases operate. But I assume exactly you both to wait, who's gonna pick up the most planets, just to come then and help him with the management, hehehe. Is this totally wrong?)
Good luck, t.e.o. aka Gert
